SPORT

On the river Po (Salt Street) you can find an ideal area for practising a lot of sports. There are two swimming pools (1), some tennis grounds (2), a soccer ground (3), basket and volleyball courts (4).

Close to the swimming pools there is also a skating track (5) and a big green park with a professional track for bicycles (6) where you can also skate, walk or just relaxe sunbathing and enjoying yourselves.

In front of the river Po there are the Colonie Padane and a big park (7), restricted areas reserved to pedestrian and bikes, ideal place to have pic-nic, to sunbathing or to spend time in the open air.

MEETING-PLACES

Every town has some meeting-places where young people meet to chat or stop to decide where to go.
We have two meeting-places in our city: the arcade beneath the Torrazzo on the side of the cathedral and the arcade and the shelter in the Stradivari square.

In the arcade beneath the Torrazzo (the higher brike tower in Europe!), in the Cathedral square, you can meet in summer and in winter without problems linked to weather. Here we meet our friends during the week and week-ends and enjoy a panoramic view of the square. Especially in the evening it's easy to meet a lot of young boys and girls spending time talking and eating fab ice-creams.
Stradivari square (ex Cavour square) has been recently changed and restiled, now it looks like a Spanish rambla with a post-modern metallic shelter in the middle, from which you can see all people arriving and where young people meet.
